Frequently Asked Questions
If you can’t find what you’re looking for in our FAQ section below, please contact us.
- Can you use WORKHORSE® Panels under vehicles?
Independent lab testing has confirmed that Bike Track products can support between 30,000 and 88,000 pounds/square foot based on product selection, firm/flat surface placement, and typical load configuration. Point load applications (such as jacking up a vehicle) will require a supporting plate to effectively distribute weight across the WORKHORSE panels.
- How quickly can WORKHORSE® Ground Solutions panels be assembled?
WORKHORSE panels assemble quickly and easily in minutes with absolutely no tools required. No cam-locks, hammers, nails, nuts, and bolts. Our patented panels fit snugly and securely into place on both level and contoured surfaces, giving you options and flexibility in situations requiring quick set-up and response. An average setup time is 70 square feet (6.5 square meters) per minute, per person. Only one person is required to handle each panel.
- How many times can WORKHORSE® panels be used?
Thanks to its durable, hardened plastic technology, WORKHORSE panels can be used and reused over and over again. Panels are guaranteed for 5 years, but past customers have reported 15+ years of sustained field use.
- Can the 2-inch Standard and ICM panels be used together?
Yes; both 2-inch products have the same friction fit u-channels, so can be used interchangeably in a layout. If you only need cable management in a certain area of your layout, you can put the ICM panels there, and Standard panels everywhere else.
- What color are WORKHORSE® Ground Solutions panels?
Gray is the most popular color and is our default stocked color. Other colors may be available for high volume orders (~ 14,000 sqft). Additionally, HDPE is a notoriously difficult material to paint, and we would not recommend it. Contact us for more information.
- Can WORKHORSE® panels be used in the winter?
Yes! They are very easy to clean off with a shovel or snow-blower. However, we don’t recommend that plow trucks be used to clean them off. If panels are regularly cleared of snow, they can help reduce ice-build up in areas like driveways and walkways.
- If my floor plan does not accommodate the standard panel size of 3.5 ft x 4 ft, how do I get a custom fit?
Use the standard full-panel and half-panel dimensions, then cut additional panels to get the perfect fit. Because our products are manufactured from virgin HPDE, they are very easy to cut with either a circular saw or a jigsaw. A 140T veneer/plastic blade will make an exceptionally smooth cut. Blades with fewer teeth can also be used as long as they are recommended to be used with plastic.
